Events

Peer rope in good company. Small group, invite-only, unhurried.

Regular

Peer Session

Our regular peer study group. Practice, explore, and share rope together.

A small, invite-only group meeting to practise and develop rope in a relaxed, social environment. This is not a class — think of it as a peer study group. People learn alongside one another, share ideas, troubleshoot together, and support each other's practice.

Some prior experience of shibari is required. Tickets are available to vetted and approved members only.

Beginners welcome

Fundamentals

A focused session on the building blocks of rope. No experience necessary.

Designed for people who are new to rope, returning after a break, or looking to strengthen their foundations. We cover rope handling, tension, frictions, column ties, communication, and core safety concepts — in a relaxed, peer-led environment.

Organisers and some regulars take a more active role in helping and demonstrating. Communal rope is available. If you're new to tying spaces, we'll often ask you to attend a Fundamentals session first before joining our regular peer group — not as a test, but as a way to get to know one another.

Partners & rope

You don't need to attend with a partner. Some people come solo, some come together. Communal rope is available at all sessions. If you'd like to tie with someone, you're welcome to ask — and equally, everyone is free to decline for any reason.

Consent & atmosphere

Clwb Nawa is a peer study group, not a play party. The focus is on learning and practice. Consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn at any time. If anything makes you uncomfortable, please speak to one of the organisers — we'd much rather know.

Dress & comfort

No dress code. Comfortable clothing you can move in is ideal. Nudity is permitted; genital exposure is not. There's a comfortable social area to sit, cool down, or take time out whenever you need it.

One-off & guest sessions

Alongside our regular programme, we run occasional sessions with a different focus or format.

FLINTA-only sessions — events open only to people who identify as women, non-binary, intersex, trans, or agender. A space for rope without the presence of cis men.

Guest-led workshops — from time to time we welcome visiting educators to lead focused workshops, bringing in different approaches and lineages.
